self-portait tuesday

Spt92005

over the years i've taken hundreds of self-portraits, always in search of the photo that captures the essence of who i am. it's something that i find ridiculous and perverse and totally addictive. today i had a busy morning, a book project that desperately needed finishing, laundry, and lots of other little things to catch up on. i so wasn't in the mood to take pics of myself. i thought i'd just post something from my massive archive of self-portraits, but somehow that felt like cheating. despite my lack of enthusisam, i decided to muddle through and take a few snaps. today, i absolutely wish that i could just lie in bed with the music blaring and prop my feet up on the pillows and just stare off into space. i love my bed! it is super comfy! and my fuschia bedding always makes me feel good. i don't usually wear shoes in bed. julia - the shoes are for you!

Wow, gorgeous gams! Great picture.

thank you - great photo and explanation

Fuschia in the morning must be a great way to wake up.

What a sexy girl ! J'aime beaucoup ta photo.

would it shock you to hear that i also have fuschia bedding?

love the shoes!

such lovely shoes are those clogs???

I too have fuschia bedding! It must be something about the color.

Hmmm. Love the, uh, um, shoes? *snicker*

The shoes are great - thanks for sharing. I am a huge fan of the self-portrait. It gives incredible insight into how we think about ourselves, what we like, and what we may change.

Some day we should still knit wings together. But not today.

Great clogs! Love pink bedding too!
